The lowdown on the danone nations cup

The DNC is the world's biggest football tournament for players aged ten to 12. Danone has been organising the competition since 2000.
Thousands of players take part in it every year.

Twenty years of competition
Every country taking part organises a national competition that will end with one team going forward to represent it at the world finals.
The tournament gives children a unique opportunity to follow in the footsteps of the pros and take part in an international competition.

A football dream for millions of youngsters
Every year around two million children take part in the DNC. From the national preliminary rounds through to the world final, they live out their football dreams on the pitch.

World-famous ambassadors
From Zinedine Zidane to Ada Hegerberg, the DNC has always had the backing of the global stars of the game. These ambassadors give their support to the tournament every year. They are chosen not just for their talent but for their values and their commitment too.

Why this partnership?

Because we share the selfsame values:
- fair play
- belief in people
- openness
- closeness
- enthusiasm
- inclusion
- diversity

We also believe in the slogan "PLAY FOOTBALL, CHANGE THE GAME", which seeks to give children access to education through sport.

The DNC is more than just an international football tournament. It is a valuable life experience that sees these young players become citizens of the world, all with a view to promoting access to water, healthy lifestyles, inclusion, respect for others, and diversity.

What is kipsta's role in all of this?

We play our part in the competition by kitting out all the teams and their coaches.
It gives us the opportunity to test the football gear we design for children (the F100 and F500 kit ranges, the T100 training apparel range and our F500 and F900 size 4 footballs).

Access to water: our commitment with watering minds

Half of the world's schools do not have access to drinking water.
The DNC is taking action and invites players, ambassadors, supporters and partners to join the cause.
Kipsta has designed this unique official match ball for this year's Danone Nations Cup.
It will retail at EUR 10.

ACCESS TO WATER: OUR COMMITMENT WITH WATERING MINDS

Our pledge

When a ball sells for EUR 10, EUR 3 goes to Watering Minds, enough for one child to have access to drinking water for a year.

Logos and colours

The shaded blues rework the colours of DNC, Decathlon, Kipsta and drinking water itself. The water symbol is underlined by the wave graphic, which can be found inside the waves on the ball and on the flags.

Patterns

The patterns are aligned with each other, like the flags of the countries represented by the teams taking part in the competition.

Junior football product manager

"Our involvement in a global competition means we can get feedback on our products from these demanding young players, some of whom will be the pros of tomorrow. The likes of Alexandre Lacazette, Anthony Lopes, Granit Xhaka, Erik Lamela, Luis Alberto, Rodrigo Bentancur and rising stars such as Amine Gouiri, Hannibal Mejbri and Joshua Zirkzee have all played in the competition, which shows how good it is."
